Desert Life.
//-start of poem-\\
Rain rewarding desert clay
Making showers loom.
Sun seducing growth all day
Making flowers bloom.
Lizards licking at your feet
Sneaking all around.
Sand dunes searing in the heat
Forming tall coarse ground.
Cactus clinging from the start
Waiting for the rain.
Grasses growing far apart
Looking for terrain.
Snakes slithering on the trail
Scaring passers-by.
Birds beckoning as they sail
Sightings flash up high.
Geckos getting food to eat
Chewing grass and seeds.
Bunnies bouncing on their feet
Hopping past dead weeds.
Dryness donning years of drought
Causing such hot days.
Brush fires bringing fear and doubt
Spreading much dark haze.
Dust storms drowning out the sun
Making all things sweat.
Thunder telling rain to come
Making all things wet.
Water wetting all the plants
Quenching thirsty leaves.
Desert dawning at long last
Growing-bursting free.
Nature knowing life has woes
Making years seem rough.
Cycle coming to a close
Living here is tough.

I reused this alliterative style several times, but each of those other poems has elements that distinguish them (like their own meter or some other unique structure). This one also has mid-line repetition or rhyming. In addition, I have written many poems like this one about places or monuments. See my > biography (near the end, I list some of the poems that use this type of alliteration and I also list some that have the place or monument genre).
I will write a personalized poem just for you. Go to > Purchase, Services (Services from Poet Roamoff) to see how to order one (and how to provide information I will use to write the poem).
