Shannon's Plannin'.
(my 6-month old daughter)
//-start of poem-\\
There once was a girl named Shannon.
A trip throughout home she was plannin’.
She took off so fast
Her walker just crashed…
And left her fast feet freely fannin’.

I love my daughter, Shannon, more than anything in the world. I wasn't there for most of her early childhood and teenage years. I wish I could have been there for her. She has inspired most of my best poetry. See all of those poems > here.
This poem was composed for a small illustrated book of poems that I wrote and sent to all of my nieces and nephews for Christmas of 1989. Most of them were Limericks. Go to > Poems, By Date and look at those written in 1989 to see what went into the book.
I will write a personalized Limerick (or some other style) just for you. Go to > Purchase, Services (Services from Poet Roamoff) to see how to order one (and how to provide information I will use to write the poem).
